Terms & Conditions - Kidsafe Australia National Burns Awareness Month Facebook Competition

  1. Information on prizes and how to enter form part of these conditions.

  2. The Promoter is Kidsafe Victoria (ABN 31 923 927 415) on behalf of Kidsafe Australia (ABN 26 008 545 382). In no way is this competition sponsored, endorsed, administered, or associated with Facebook or has any responsibility to entrants or participants.

  3. Entrants must reside in any state or territory in Australia. Entrants must be 18 years and over to enter the competition.

  4. The competition commences at 9am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Monday 1st June 2020 and closes at midnight AEST on Monday 22nd June 2020. Entries posted outside the competition dates will not be considered.

  5. To enter the competition, entrants must upload entries in the comments of the competition post on the Kidsafe Australia Facebook page.

  6. Entrants guarantee that the content is their own original work and does not infringe the rights (including copyright) of any other person.

  7. Individuals may enter as many times as they like into the competition.

  8. Kidsafe Australia reserves the right to delete any inappropriate entries (e.g. any entries which do not depict a safe situation, are not relevant to the competition or are promoting particular products or brands).

  9. No responsibility will be accepted for lost, late, illegible or misdirected entries.

  10. The following three prizes will be awarded: first place - $250 eGift flexi voucher, second place - $150 eGift flexi voucher and third place - $50 eGift flexi voucher.

  11. The judging panel will choose the top five entries based on creativity and safety messages depicted. The top five entries will be posted on the Kidsafe Australia Facebook page for public vote from Tuesday 23rd June to Monday 29th June 2020 . The entries with the first, second and third highest votes will be awarded the corresponding prize level.

  12. The judging panel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into during or after the competition.

  13. The winning entrants will be contacted by private message on Tuesday 30th June 2020 and digital vouchers will be sent to recipients by email following recipient confirmation. Results will be published on Kidsafe Australia’s Facebook page.

  14. If a prize remains unclaimed one month after the draw, Kidsafe Australia may award the prize to another entrant.

  15. All posts entered in the competition will become the intellectual property of Kidsafe Australia and may be used by Kidsafe Australia for promotional purposes on various platforms.

  16. Kidsafe Australia is not liable for any claims, losses, damages, injury costs and expenses suffered sustained or incurred as a result of, arising out of or in any way connected with the promotion and/or its prizes, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law.

  17. No responsibility is accepted by Kidsafe Australia for entries not received in their entirety or incorrectly completed by the closing date and time.

  18. Kidsafe Australia assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission or communications of the competition. Kidsafe Australia is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone, network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic on the internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any material in this competition.

  19. If there is an event beyond Kidsafe Australia’s reasonable control which prevents or hinders the conduct of the competition or Kidsafe Australia’s ability to deliver the prize to the winners, then Kidsafe Australia may in its discretion cancel the promotion. Further, Kidsafe Australia may at its sole discretion recommence it under the same conditions.

  20. Entry into the competition shall be deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry and is deemed approval to use winners’ name(s) and entry/entries for publicity purposes. Kidsafe Australia may at its discretion refuse to award any prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these conditions of entry.
